The New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church is a place where people of all races can experience a new lease of life through Jesus Christ. We exist to Praise and exalt God, to Evangelize to the lost and edify and equip Believers to fulfill God's purpose for their lives. We strive to exemplify excellent and balance in all we do. We are Passionate, Artistic and Reverent in our worship. We are International in our efforts to evangelize our city, nation and world. Above all we are a Christ, Centered, ministry that seeks to liberate the people of God, through the leadership of the Holy Spirit and to the spiritual needs of the Body of Christ and its surrounding community.
OUR PASTOR
REV. HAROLD A. SPANN SR.
Harold Allen Spann Sr. was born in Gulfport, MS. on September 22, 1952. He is the fifth son of ten children born to late Reverend Charlie and Oakerener Rice Spann Sr. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Willie C. Rice Sr. He attended North Gulfport and Harrison Central High School. In July 1972, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country for over 31 years, which included assignments in Japan, Okinawa, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Africa, Vietnam, California, North Carolina, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana.
